Who uses extra virgin coconut oil?

How many of you love coconuts? How many of you have been told eating coconuts, drinking coconut water and using coconut oil is really good for your skin and hair due to its nourishing and healing qualities as most of you may know that it is very rich in saturated fat content.

Well, today’s blog is about informing you what type of coconut oil is good for you and how using the correct coconut oil can make a difference to your skin at a very affordable price.

Why choose extra virgin coconut oil compared with regular coconut oil? It’s the process of extraction that makes it different. Extra virgin coconut oil is cold-pressed compared to the regular coconut oil therefore it is not refined and bleached. When coconut oil is extracted using heat or solvent extraction it is no longer classified as virgin as chemicals are used however, it can still be sold as being natural.

Thus, extra virgin coconut oil has better antioxidant properties and superior content of Vitamin E and other minerals such as Lauric acid.

Beauty Hints & Tips:

  1. Dry skin emollient; it’s definitely something to apply daily under your makeup! If you have combination skin then applying it every night after cleansing your skin. Gives you a natural glow.
  2. Makeup remover; leaving your skin feeling supple and nourished after a long city dwell!
  3. Did you know it has anti-ageing properties? helps minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and in return firms the skin! (my mum who is 52 is a great alibi for this and still uses it daily!!)
